For nearly 90 years, ARDEC industries has been helping manufacturers custom metal parts, from prototype to mass production..
Our strength: a multi-site organization combining complementary skills (bar turning, turning, cold heading, milling) and an ability to meet the technical requirements of the most varied sectors.
History of ARDEC industries
The story of ARDEC industries is one of know-how handed down and enriched over almost 90 years. From a bar-turning workshop founded in the Jura region to a multi-site industrial group, each step has helped forge our identity: technical excellence, local roots and the ability to adapt to changes in the industry.
The creation of Décolletage Jurassien
The history of ARDEC industries began in 1938 with the creation of Décolletage Jurassien (LDJ) in Sirod. As the group’s founding site, LDJ gradually built up its know-how in precision screw-machining, becoming a recognized industrial player over the decades. In 1994, the company embarked on a trans-generational transfer project to its management team, consolidating its territorial roots and the continuity of its expertise.
From a single site to an industrial group
1998 marks a turning point with the first ISO 9001 certification and the creation of the holding company ARDEC Metal Group, which initiates the structuring of the group as it exists today. In 2000, LDJ moves into its new building in Champagnole, where it develops a modern machine park, including CNC lathes and CNC Index multi-spindle lathes.
A European reference
These investments enable the site to specialize in high-volume stainless steel screw machining, a know-how that will make LDJ a European benchmark. At the same time, the Group begins a strategic diversification into new markets: aeronautical, medical and pharmaceutical, with a continuous reinforcement of its technical and documentary skills.
